Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage is no longer considered a luxury. Therapeutic touch can benefit people in pain, those who are desk-bound, weekend athletes, or anyone who lives with stress. Therapeutic bodywork is recognized as a health-building resource, supported by a large body of published research.

Andrews Integrated Health brings advanced skills to your massage treatment:

• Accurate Assessment
• Precise Treatment
• Client Education and Empowerment
• Effective Results
• Referral to outside sources for further resources

The goal of a Therapeutic Massage Treatment at Andrews Integrated Health is to provide relief by means of anatomically-based and clinically-proven techniques for the improvement of soft tissue function.

Our therapists are Certified Massage Therapists and Neuromuscular Therapists. Your treatment plan may include orthopedic testing and rehabilitation techniques utilized in the Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology (C.H.E.K) discipline.

You will experience a comfortable, specific massage. Your therapist will address the problems you present and work with you toward the ultimate goal of permanent relief. A therapeutic plan may be recommended, including subsequent treatment and the addition of other resources such as specific corrective exercise.

What Are Trigger Points?

Trigger Points are tender, restricted areas in muscles, tendons and connective tissue. Trigger points are often created by postural or movement habits, injury, diet, disease and life style. Trigger points can cause a variety of symptoms: muscular pain, muscle contraction, spasm, limited range of movement, weakness, fatigue. Symptoms may occur alone or may be disguised as back pain, headache, stiff neck, shoulder pain, knee pain, tingling, numbness, or even just "sore" or "tight" areas. If you suffer from these symptoms, therapeutic massage will be helpful to you.

Results-oriented Care

We strive to help you find immediate relief. But the relief you can expect from your therapeutic massage depends on a number of factors: how long you have had your symptoms, how much your body compensates, and the severity of postural or movement patterns that perpetuate the problem. You can facilitate relief between treatments by doing healthful homework.

And while Therapeutic Massage can assist with symptom relief, it cannot, by itself, always provide a permanent solution to a complex problem. Consider Therapeutic Massage a significant resource to help you restore health and function while you work on improving the other factors that cause the condition.

The AIH Approach

The integrated combination of a Corrective Exercise Program and Therapeutic Massage along with Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching can help you achieve your goal more rapidly and completely. The longer the pain has been present, the more you may need to do to find a pain-free life. We can create a roadmap-to-relief together, one step at a time.
